About Your Trip

Head offshore from Orange Beach, Alabama with Captain Nick for a Gulf Coast fishing adventure targeting some of the most sought-after species in the area. With years of experience fishing these waters, Captain Nick knows the reefs, wrecks, and offshore grounds where fish like to gather and will work hard to put you in the best position for success.

Depending on the season and how far offshore you travel, anglers may have the opportunity to
target Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Lane Snapper, Red Grouper, Gray Triggerfish, Amberjack, and even offshore pelagics such as Blue Marlin, White Marlin, and Tuna. Trips often range from 8 to 25 miles offshore on shorter outings, while longer trips may run 30–45 miles out or farther to reach productive fishing grounds.

Throughout the day you may use a variety of techniques including bottom fishing over reefs and wrecks, as well as trolling offshore waters for larger game fish. Captain Nick often spends time catching live bait before heading offshore, as fresh bait can greatly improve the chances of hooking into larger fish.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 42’ sportfishing boat that comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests. The boat is fully equipped for offshore fishing with outriggers, GPS, fishfinder, radar, a live bait well, ice box, and plenty of deck space for fishing. Inside, the boat features a clean restroom, air-conditioned cabin, bed, kitchen area, and refrigerator, giving guests a comfortable place to relax during the trip.

All rods, reels, tackle, and live bait are included, and your fishing licenses are covered by the charter so you can simply show up ready to fish. A first mate will also be onboard to assist with baiting hooks, landing fish, and keeping everything running smoothly throughout the day. Fish cleaning is available at the dock for a small fee, with freezer bags provided for your catch. A 20% tip for the mate is customary.

These trips are family-friendly, and kids are welcome aboard. Captain Nick and his crew are great with young anglers and will help keep everyone engaged throughout the trip. If younger guests are joining, be sure to ask about child-sized life jackets. Bringing snacks is always a good idea to keep everyone fueled up during the day.

For the best experience, guests should bring non-spray sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and comfortable clothing. Bottled water is recommended, and additional drinks are welcome. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles while onboard.

Whether you’re hoping to bring home fresh Gulf fish or chase big offshore species, Captain Nick and his crew are ready to help you make the most of your Orange Beach fishing adventure.
