Experience the excitement of Pacific Salmon fishing with Captain Robert and his team on the productive waters of the Fraser River and Harrison River in British Columbia. These rivers host some of the most famous salmon runs in Canada, offering anglers the chance to target multiple species throughout the season.

Five different salmon species migrate through these waters: Chinook (King), Coho (Silver), Sockeye, Chum, and Pink Salmon, each offering its own unique fight and fishing style. The runs change throughout the year, creating a dynamic fishery where different species move through the river system at different times.

Depending on the season and fishery openings, anglers may use techniques such as float fishing with jigs, spin fishing with lures, or fly fishing to target salmon as they travel upstream to spawn. These fish are powerful and aggressive, making every hookup an exciting battle.

Chinook—also known as King Salmon—are the largest of the Pacific salmon and a favorite target for anglers looking for size and strength. Coho are known for their acrobatic fights, while Sockeye runs can produce incredible numbers of fish. Chum salmon are powerful fighters often called “dog salmon,” and Pink salmon provide great action during their runs, especially in odd-numbered years.

All fishing is done with barbless hooks, following British Columbia regulations and conservation practices.

Your trip takes place aboard comfortable heated jet boats, allowing the crew to safely navigate the rivers while keeping guests warm and comfortable in changing weather conditions.

All rods, reels, bait, and tackle are included, and the guides are happy to help anglers of all skill levels learn the techniques needed to hook into salmon. Even if you’ve never fished before, the team will guide you through the process so you can enjoy the thrill of catching one of the Pacific Northwest’s most iconic fish.

When salmon seasons allow, trips can even be combined with sturgeon fishing, giving guests the chance to experience two of British Columbia’s most exciting fisheries in a single day.

With breathtaking scenery, strong salmon runs, and experienced local guides, Captain Robert’s trips on the Fraser and Harrison Rivers provide a true West Coast fishing adventure.

The team also owns and operates a lodge with multiple lodging options available for guests. If you’re traveling in from out of town, they can help coordinate accommodations to make your trip as smooth as possible. Multi-day trips are encouraged as well, giving you more time on the water and the opportunity to experience some of the area’s excellent Sturgeon and Salmon fishing across different days and conditions.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
