About Your Trip

Head out from Inverness, Nova Scotia, along the scenic Ceilidh Trail, for the chance to battle one of the ocean’s most powerful fish—the Giant Bluefin Tuna. This region is known for its friendly coastal communities, miles of sandy beaches, and stunning views of Cape Breton Island. Just a short drive away is the world-famous Cabot Trail, and nearby Cabot Links Golf Resort, making this an incredible destination both on and off the water.

These waters
are exceptionally rich in marine life. Each season, large schools of mackerel and herring gather to spawn, attracting massive Bluefin tuna close to shore. With fish commonly ranging 600–800 pounds and larger, anglers have the opportunity to experience the thrill of fighting one of the strongest fish in the world.

Captain Conrad will guide you on this unforgettable big game adventure. A commercial lobster and tuna fisherman for more than 20 years, he has been chasing Bluefin tuna for over three decades. Captain Conrad holds a 100 Ton Fishing Master certification and is a member of the Nova Scotia Tuna Charters association. His passion for fishing runs deep—his largest Bluefin to date tipped the scales at an incredible 1,340 pounds. Despite the years of experience, he still gets excited every time the reel starts screaming and a giant tuna is hooked.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 40’ Four Ports sportfishing vessel, a clean and comfortable boat fully equipped for offshore charters. Powered by a 430 HP Cummins diesel engine and inspected by Transport Canada for safety, the boat provides a stable platform for battling giant tuna. Onboard amenities include a washroom, USB charging stations, and plenty of space to fish comfortably.

One of the great advantages of fishing here is the short run to the fishing grounds—often only about 12 miles offshore. That means less travel time and more time chasing fish.

These charters are designed for all experience levels, whether you’re a serious international big game angler or a group of friends and family looking to experience the thrill of giant Bluefin tuna fishing. Captain Conrad is known for his friendly, easygoing personality and loves sharing fishing stories, local knowledge, and the natural beauty of Cape Breton with his guests.

If you’re ready to experience one of the most powerful fish in the ocean in one of the most scenic places in Canada, Captain Conrad’s Bluefin tuna charters offer a truly unforgettable day on the water
