Set out on the waters of the Northumberland Strait with Captain Conrad for a memorable deep sea fishing adventure along the beautiful coast of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Just a short run from the harbour, these calm and productive waters are home to a variety of fish species, giving anglers the chance to experience classic Maritime fishing while enjoying incredible ocean views.

With more than 25 years of experience, Captain Conrad brings a lifetime of knowledge to every trip. A seasoned commercial fisherman and longtime Bluefin tuna captain, he knows these local waters inside and out and is passionate about helping guests learn while they fish. Whether you’re an experienced angler or stepping onto a boat for the first time, Captain Conrad and his crew will guide you through the techniques needed to make the most of your day on the water.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 40’ Four Ports sportfishing vessel, a clean and comfortable boat fully equipped for charter fishing. Powered by a 430 HP Cummins diesel engine and inspected by Transport Canada for safety, the vessel offers a stable and reliable platform for a day offshore. Onboard amenities include a washroom, USB charging stations, and plenty of space to fish comfortably.

The rich waters of the Northumberland Strait support a diverse range of species. Depending on conditions, anglers may catch Atlantic Mackerel, Cod, Pollock, Cunner, and the occasional Sculpin. Schools of fast-moving mackerel often provide exciting action, while larger bottom species like cod and pollock offer the chance for a heavier catch.

All rods, reels, bait, tackle, and safety equipment are included with the trip, so you can arrive ready to fish. Captain Conrad operates fully licensed and follows all fishing and safety regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone onboard.

These trips are perfect for families, first-time anglers, groups of friends, and anyone looking to spend a day exploring the ocean. Beyond the fishing itself, you may also see seabirds and other marine wildlife while cruising the coastline.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.
Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
