About Your Trip

Join Captain Andrew for a laid-back day of fishing and the chance to catch a variety of local species. Depending on conditions and what's biting, you may encounter Flounder, Croaker, Spot, Kingfish (Whiting), and other fish commonly found in the area.

This trip is designed for all skill levels, making it a great option whether you're a seasoned angler or picking up a rod for the first time. Captain Andrew is happy to help beginners
learn the basics while allowing experienced anglers to fish at their own pace.

You'll be fishing aboard a 24' Carolina Skiff, a versatile boat that's well-suited for this style of fishing. With plenty of room to fish and move around the deck, it's a great platform for spending time on the water with family and friends.

All fishing gear is provided, so you'll have everything needed for the trip waiting for you when you arrive.

A mate is aboard to assist throughout the trip with bait, tackle, and fish as needed. As is customary on many charter boats, a 20% gratuity for the mate is standard and appreciated.

If you decide to keep any legal fish, fish cleaning is included, so your catch will be ready to take home at the end of the trip.

Trips are available with 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM departure times.

Guests are welcome to bring a small cooler with drinks and snacks for the trip, and beer is allowed in cans. We also recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and bug spray to stay comfortable while on the water.

If you're looking to spend a few hours fishing for a variety of local species, Captain Andrew would be glad to have you aboard.

We were a little disappointed that we only had the opportunity to use fishbites for bait. It was a very slow day from the fishing aspect.
We ironically caught more fish with a smaller party on my own smaller boat the day before than we did with the charter and a larger boat, and that was the first time I’ve fished in Virginia with my boat.

Response from Andrew:
You wanted to go offshore, but the weather didn't cooperate with us, so we decided to go for sharks instead. Not smaller fish. Your buddy got sick after about an hour, and I took you guys clamming so he would feel better. You got 10 gallons of clams. Then we went back to fishing, and caught a shark. Which was the target species. Sorry if you were expecting something different.

Response from Captain Experiences:
Hey Brendon, this is Trey with Captain Experiences. I wish we had a little more control over the wildlife sometimes! I’m glad to hear from Captain Andrew that you guys were able to head home with some gallons of clams and get on a shark, so I hope there were a few more bright spots. I'm glad we could touch base behind the scenes, and I hope our next trip is more action-packed!
