About Your Trip

Inshore Fishing Trip – 4 Hours

Start your morning on the water with a relaxed, early‑light launch — most trips begin around 6:30–7:00 AM, but we’re flexible if you need a slightly different start time. Our inshore trips are designed to put you on the fish quickly, keeping you close to the shoreline, grass flats, oyster beds, and structure where the Gulf Coast’s most sought‑after species feed.

You’ll target a mix of Redfish, Speckled Trout,
Flounder, Cobia, and Sheepshead, depending on the season and conditions. Whether you’re sight‑casting along the mangroves, drifting over grass flats, or working structure for ambush feeders, we tailor the trip to the bite and your experience level.

This is a great option for families, beginners, and seasoned anglers who want a productive, scenic morning on the water without a long run offshore.

Independent Guide
I’m Capt. Rick, a U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain with a lifelong passion for fishing and helping others experience the water the way I do. I’m 55 years old and live on beautiful Weeks Bay in Fairhope, Alabama, where my wife and our dog, Chandy, keep life grounded and full of good company.

You’ll be fishing aboard my 22’ BlackJack, powered by a 250 HP Yamaha — a fast, smooth, and reliable setup that gets us to the fish quickly
and comfortably. Whether we’re easing along the grass flats, working oyster beds, or chasing a tide change, the boat is built for exactly the kind of inshore fishing we’ll be doing.

What drives me is simple: I love fishing, and I love sharing that experience with others. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or stepping on a boat for the first time, I’m here to make the trip relaxed, fun, and memorable.

Come aboard, settle in, and let’s go make some great memories on the water.

How did you get started guiding?
I started guiding because I wanted to share my love of fishing with others. That and eat, I need to eat.
What makes you different from other guides?
A lot of guides can put you on fish — that’s not the hard part. What sets me apart is the experience you get from the moment you step on the boat. I run a clean, safe, modern operation, and I tailor every trip to the people onboard. Some folks want hands‑on coaching, others want to relax and enjoy the morning, and some want to chase a specific species. I adjust the trip to you, not the other way around. I’m patient, I explain the ‘why’ behind what we’re doing, and I make sure everyone — from first‑timers to seasoned anglers — feels confident and has a great time. At the end of the day, my goal isn’t just to catch fish. It’s to give you a trip you’ll remember and want to come back for.
