About Your Trip

4 Hour trip usually around the Low tide. Depending on the wind/what has been fishing well we may be in the small creeks or out in the open flats and sounds. You never know what you will see on these trips. This is when you can find schools of fishing waking and blowing up bait which provides some of the most exciting visuals you could imagine, and some of the easiest catching when the fish are fired up. It is also not uncommon to see sharks in the warmer months and dolphins feeding as well which is a sight to see.

We will be poling the skiff around in very shallow water looking for the fish. We will try to launch at a ramp that is most convenient for the guest, but if one area is fishing particularly well I will ask if they can meet at that boat ramp. We typically do not need to run more than 15 minutes to get to the fishing areas so you will be fishing more than riding around.

We will Fly fish if you can cast a fly rod, and if not I always have spinning rods set up as well. We will target redfish mostly but you may encounter black drum, trout and sharks as well. The sharks are an excellent target and often overlooked.

I grew up hunting and fishing in Virginia and love doing anything outdoors. After falling in love with fly fishing, I realized the saltwater fly fishing program was my favorite as it is basically hunting fish instead of being in the woods. I spent my 4 years of college at Sewanee, The University of the South and spent all of my breaks either traveling to fish or going to Charleston, SC to dial in the waters on my skiff in hopes of guiding down here after school. Luckily, that plan worked out. I am a laid back person and I love showing people what the low country has to offer in terms of our fishing. Whether you are a beginner or an expert we will have a great time on the water and you will see some of the most beautiful waters that exist on the East Coast.
