Hop on board with Captain Rudy and get ready for a fun, family-friendly day on the water out of Riviera Beach! With productive nearshore and offshore Atlantic waters just a quick ride away, this trip is a great way for families, first-timers, and experienced anglers alike to enjoy the Florida coast together. Whether you’re looking to introduce the kids to fishing, spend quality time with friends, or chase a serious offshore bite, Captain Rudy will help tailor the day around the conditions and your group’s goals.

On days when the weather isn’t cooperating and the ocean is too rough, Captain Rudy and Mike can keep the trip inshore, where you’ll have the chance to target barracuda, Jack Crevalle, Spanish Mackerel, Porgies, Lane Snapper, and even the occasional Nurse Shark. It’s a great backup option that keeps the day fun, flexible, and focused on making memories.

On half-day, 3/4-day, or full-day trips, Captain Rudy will take you a few miles off Florida’s East Coast to target exciting species like Barracuda, Black Grouper, King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Wahoo, various Snapper, and Sharks. Depending on what you want to catch and how you want to fish, you may use light tackle, artificial lures, trolling, or jigging. If your family has a specific fish or technique in mind, just let Captain Rudy know and he’ll help get everyone set up.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 30’ sportfisher that can accommodate up to 4 guests. Powered by twin 454 Crusader engines, this boat is built to handle nearshore waters and reach offshore fishing grounds with confidence. She comes equipped with GPS, fishfinder, live bait well, outriggers, and a fighting chair, along with family-friendly comforts like a restroom, bed, kitchen, and refrigerator.

Captain Rudy provides all rods, reels, tackle, lures, bait, and fishing licenses. Just bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and any food or drinks you’d like for the day. Captain Rudy also offers life-sized mounts or smaller replicas of your catch for additional fees, along with T-shirts available for purchase. A small free gift is also given to everyone aboard, making the trip even more memorable for the whole family.

For families who want to beat the heat, there’s also a 4-hour night trip from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. This trip includes drift fishing or anchoring over wrecks and reefs for Snapper, Grouper, Kingfish, and Sharks.

Note: 6- and 8-hour trips start at 8:00 a.m. Four-hour trips can start at either 8:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. Night trips begin at 5:30 p.m.

In my early childhood, my father brought me fishing as a small child. Ever since I can remember I enjoyed the fishing experience that my father gave to me. I had my first boat when I was 16 years old. Since then I have had boats as big as 32'. I began this family business as a tribute to my dad who passed away a few months before I was able to do so. I have named the business after him as he was known as Papa Bear to all his children and grandchildren,. I have my son Michael as my first mate and fishing companion. I have always loved being out on the water fishing with my family that is why I became a charter captain so I can pass this on to other people to enjoy. I fish out of lake worth inlet and target areas from the breakers hotel to Jupiter Inlet. We offer a variety of trips from 4 hours to 8 hours. The 6 hour and 8 hour trips include some trolling for mahi and tuna. The 4 hour trips are for bottom fishing the reefs and wrecks. I also give the option to troll on these trips for an extra 100 fuel allowance due to the increase in fuel costs. This will give an hour of trolling outside the reefs for game fish like mahi, tuna, sailfish, kingfish and wahoo. We also offer live bait fishing at an additional cost. This technique involves kite fishing, or slow trolling,and or drifting baits at a variety of depths. We are trying to entice something big to come hit one of the baits that the fish are use to seeing out there. One thing we guarantee is that you will have a fun filled experience with us and we will do our best to put you on fish that you will reel in yourself. Book a trip with us and come have a great time. How did you get started guiding?

I always had a boat since I can remember and I would take my friends and family out fishing. After retiring from a career in the fire service, I decided to make a second career out of taking people from all over the world out fishing. I enjoy seeing the smile that is on their face when they land a big fish. It is my passion to be out on the water especially when it is with my son. We make a great team and we do catch fish.
