About Your Trip

Start your morning watching the sun rise over some of Mississippi's most productive crappie waters and get ready for a hands-on fishing experience focused on putting fish in the boat. Captain Drew specializes in targeting summertime crappie patterns and uses the latest forward-facing sonar technology to locate individual fish and schools with incredible precision.

Throughout the trip, you'll fish with lightweight 6' to 7.5' casting rods while actively targeting suspended crappie around structure and open-water
holding areas. This style of fishing is both engaging and rewarding, allowing anglers to watch fish react to their presentations in real time. Whether you're new to forward-facing sonar or already familiar with the technique, Captain Drew will help you understand the technology and maximize your opportunities throughout the morning.

Trips typically run for 8 hours and generally wrap up around midday, before the summer heat reaches its peak. Water, drinks, and light snacks are available onboard to help keep everyone comfortable while fishing.

Depending on current conditions and where the bite is strongest, Captain Drew will focus on the lake offering the best opportunity that day. Sardis Lake and Enid Lake are both outstanding summertime crappie fisheries and frequently provide excellent action throughout the season.

You'll fish from a comfortable 22' Ranger bass boat with plenty of room for up to three anglers. If you're looking to learn modern crappie techniques, enjoy a fun morning on the water, and fill the cooler with some of Mississippi's best-eating fish, this trip is hard to beat.

Hi, I’m Drew. I’ve been fishing the Flood Control Reservoirs of North Mississippi my entire life, catching my first giant crappie at just three years old. These lakes aren’t just where I spend my time — they’re home. Over the years, I’ve learned their patterns, seasons, and hidden spots, and I enjoy sharing that knowledge with others. Whether you’re brand new or experienced, all anglers are welcome in my boat. Let’s spend a day chasing slabs and making memories.

Fantastic guide that worked really hard from start to finish to put us on the experience that we were looking for. We catch a lot of quality crops and a lesson on livescope to take home to Tn. I highly recommend Drew who obviously knows his stuff. I would book again with Drew.
