Fish the legendary waters of the Missouri River system near Pierre, South Dakota on a flexible, multi-species trip built around staying on fish and adapting to seasonal conditions. These trips primarily focus on Lake Sharpe and Lake Oahe, with opportunities to fish nearby glacial lakes as well—especially when targeting Northern Pike.

Every trip is customized based on time of year, weather conditions, and the species you want to target, giving you a tailored experience rather than a one-size-fits-all day on the water. Whether you’re after hard-fighting Smallmouth Bass, trophy Northern Pike, steady-action Walleye, or schooling White Bass, the plan is adjusted to put you in the best position for success.

Fishing techniques vary depending on the target species and current conditions. For Smallmouth Bass, expect a more active, lure-focused approach using artificials and light tackle techniques. Walleye trips often incorporate live bait presentations, along with jigging, trolling, and bottom fishing methods to stay dialed into the bite. Pike trips can involve covering water with artificials around structure and shallow zones where aggressive fish are feeding.

You’ll be fishing from a 2023 19’ Ranger, powered by a Mercury 200, giving you a smooth, fast, and capable platform for covering water efficiently throughout the day.

Launch locations can vary depending on the fishery and conditions, and pickup arrangements may also be available depending on the trip. After booking, Captain Corey will coordinate directly with you to dial in the best plan for your trip dates and target species.

All trips are designed to be approachable for anglers of all experience levels while still giving experienced fishermen the flexibility to fish hard and cover water efficiently. Lodging may also be available for select trips depending on availability and location.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
