About Your Trip

If you're looking for fast action and hard-fighting trout, this spring trip is one of the best ways to experience Lake Ontario. Running from May through June, these 5-hour outings stay closer to shore where Brown Trout and Lake Trout feed aggressively as water temperatures rise.

You'll spend the trip trolling productive nearshore waters while Captain Ryan works the conditions and locates active fish. Brown Trout are the primary target during this time of year,
but Lake Trout are frequently in the mix and can provide steady action throughout the trip.

These trips are perfect for anglers of all experience levels, from first-timers looking to learn the ropes to seasoned fishermen chasing quality trout. Morning departures often provide calm conditions and active fish, while afternoon trips offer the chance to enjoy the scenic Lake Ontario shoreline.

You'll fish aboard a 24' Rampage equipped with GPS, fishfinder technology, downriggers, and a private onboard restroom. All rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided, and Captain Ryan will clean and fillet your catch at the end of the trip so it's ready for the table.

Just bring your New York fishing license, weather-appropriate clothing, snacks, and drinks, and get ready for a great day on the water.

Independent Guide
Captain Ryan has been fishing the waters of Lake Ontario since 1989, and what started as a single trip quickly became a lifelong passion. Over the years, he has spent countless hours learning the seasonal movements and habits of the lake's prized Salmon and Trout fisheries.

What began as taking friends and family fishing eventually grew into a successful charter operation built around sharing that passion with others. Today, Captain Ryan enjoys introducing newcomers to the sport just as much
as helping experienced anglers chase trophy fish and personal bests.

His goal on every trip is simple: provide a fun, safe, and memorable experience while putting guests in the best possible position to catch fish. Whether you're a beginner, a lifelong angler, or someone looking to cross a Lake Ontario King Salmon off your bucket list, Captain Ryan is committed to making your day on the water one to remember.
