About Your Trip

This is your chance to go into the Everglades and catch largemouth bass, peacockbass, tarpon, snook, and many exotic fish like mayan cichlids, Oscars, tilapia and more. If you enjoy fishing shorelines, using topwater or suspending, bait or live bait. This is the trip for you. The Canal system that we will be fishing is called the Aerojet Canal. it was originally cut into the Everglades in the 60s for the space program and blocked off from Florida Bay Waters in 1972 and has been freshwater ever since. It’s about 9 miles long with quite a few turns nice edges and a lot of Sawgrass.. this Canal system is home to turtles, manatees, crocodiles and many alligators so be prepared to have some fun safe close encounters. The birds are everywhere multiple species, and beautiful to watch. we will be using a trolling motor once we are fishing to navigate the shoreline. It’s a great time and a way to see a part of the Everglades that not many people get a chance to this is the most southern opportunity to catch peacock, bass and largemouth bass this is the last freshwater system to the south. So if being secluded deep in the Everglades with nothing but your guide and nature and catching some great fish and memories is something that you would be interested in doing please book me for a great trip

Hi! I am Captain Sam I am born and raised in Key Largo, Florida with over 20 years of experience fishing the water of the Florida Backcountry, Islamorada, and Biscayne Bay. I started to develop an interest in fishing when I was very young and would go fishing with my grandpa and I started fishing on my own when I was about 15 and a lot of my free time learning these waters and how to fish them. I love fishing and I am grateful for the opportunity to help others enjoy fishing as well. When fishing with me you will mostly be sight casting and will have a chance to catch Snook, Redfish, Tarpon and more in the Florida Everglades Backcountry.
