About Your Trip

Experience the quieter side of Vancouver Island fishing with Captain Raiden on this seasonal winter trip out of Comox. Available from October through May, this trip focuses on winter Chinook Salmon, often called “feeders.” These Salmon are usually smaller than peak-season fish, but they are known for being some of the tastiest Salmon you can bring home.

Captain Raiden will take you aboard his 24’ Grady White cuddy cabin, a restored and well-equipped boat built
for comfort, safety, and performance. The vessel features GPS, fishfinder, radar, downriggers, an ice box, multimedia system, and an enclosed toilet. Rods, reels, tackle, and lures are all included, and Captain Raiden will handle catch cleaning and filleting at the end of the trip.

You’ll primarily troll nearshore waters in search of active winter Salmon, with opportunities to target Cod, Crab, and Shrimp depending on conditions and your preferences. This is a great trip for anglers who want steady action, beautiful scenery, and a shot at bringing home incredible table fare.

Dress in layers for the season, and bring your own snacks and drinks. Whether you’re an experienced angler or new to the sport, Captain Raiden will help you feel comfortable and confident throughout the day.
