About Your Trip

Departing from Henderson Harbor, join Captain Silas for a Great Lakes trolling trip targeting the hard-fighting Salmon and Trout that call these waters home. With seven years of experience and a variety of techniques at his disposal, Silas will adjust the game plan around the season, conditions, and where the fish have been holding.

Much of the day will be spent trolling with a spread of rods using downriggers, dipsy divers, copper wire, spoons, plugs, and bait presentations to cover different depths. Silas will dial in trolling speed and lure depth throughout the trip, and when a rod fires, you'll get your chance to step up and fight the fish.

Depending on the season, target species can include Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, and Atlantic Salmon. These fish can behave very differently throughout the year, so the ability to change depths, presentations, and locations is a big part of the experience.

Trips are run aboard Silas's 26' Maycraft, which accommodates up to four guests and comes equipped with GPS, fish finder, radar, VHF radio, downriggers, livewell, and the rods, reels, tackle, and bait needed for the day.

Silas is happy to work with both experienced Great Lakes anglers and guests fishing this style for the first time. He'll walk you through the setup, explain what the gear is doing, and help coach you through the fight when it's your turn on the rod.

Bring weather-appropriate clothing, a hat, sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, food and drinks, and a valid New York fishing license. Early mornings can be cool even during warmer months, so dressing in layers is recommended.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
