About Your Trip

Cover more water and experience some of the Truckee River's most productive trout habitat during a guided fly fishing float trip. Floating allows you to reach stretches of river that see less foot traffic while giving you the opportunity to fish miles of riffles, runs, seams, and deep holding water throughout the day. It's one of the most effective and enjoyable ways to experience this world-renowned trout fishery.

These trips are best suited for intermediate
and advanced fly anglers looking to elevate their skills while targeting wild rainbow and brown trout. As you drift downstream, your guide will position the raft for productive presentations while sharing local techniques for reading moving water, choosing flies, managing drifts, and adjusting to changing river conditions. Every float becomes both an exciting day of fishing and a hands-on learning experience.

All equipment is available if needed, including fly rods, reels, flies, waders, and boots, making it easy to travel light and focus on the fishing. With a maximum of two anglers per raft, you'll enjoy plenty of individualized instruction and ample opportunities to fish quality water throughout the day.

If you're looking to maximize your time on one of the premier trout rivers in the West while learning from an experienced local guide, this float trip delivers an unforgettable fly fishing experience.
