About Your Trip

Experience one of North America's premier trout fisheries on a guided drift down Alberta's legendary Bow River. Whether you're an experienced fly angler or picking up a rod for the first time, Colin will tailor the day to your skill level while putting you in the best position to experience the incredible fishery the Bow is known for.

One of the highlights of fishing with Colin is access to a limited-permit stretch of the Bow
River below the Carseland Weir. This reserve float receives significantly less fishing pressure than the more heavily trafficked sections closer to Calgary, giving anglers a unique opportunity to fish productive water that few guides can access.

Depending on conditions and your goals for the day, you'll target hard-fighting Rainbow and Brown Trout while drifting productive runs, riffles, and seams. For anglers looking for something different, trips can also be customized to pursue Walleye and Northern Pike in sections of the Bow where those species thrive.

Throughout the day, Colin shares the knowledge he's built over years of studying Alberta's rivers, helping anglers better understand reading water, fish behavior, presentations, and seasonal patterns. Whether you're casting dries, nymphs, streamers, or spinning gear, every trip is customized to current conditions.

A full shore lunch, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages are included. Photos and videography are also provided so you can relive the day's highlights long after the trip ends.

Anglers should bring appropriate rods, waders, boots, rain gear, and sunscreen. Complete equipment packages are available for an additional cost if needed.
