Get ready to experience one of New York's most exciting seasonal fisheries as you hit the Hudson River with Captain Nick in search of hard-fighting Striped Bass!

Running during the heart of the Hudson's spring Striper migration, this private fishing trip gives your group four hours to chase these powerful fish along productive water between Port Ewen and Newburgh. Captain Nick has spent years learning how the river's tides, channels, drop-offs, and bait movements affect the bite, and he'll use that local knowledge to keep you in productive water throughout the trip.

Depending on the conditions and how the fish are feeding, you'll use a variety of proven techniques including live bait and cut bait presentations. Nick will adjust locations, depth, tackle, and presentation as the tide changes, giving both beginners and experienced anglers the opportunity to get involved. First-timers can expect plenty of hands-on instruction, while seasoned anglers can settle in and enjoy chasing one of the Northeast's most iconic gamefish.

You'll fish aboard a sturdy 23' Sea Ox walkaround powered by a 225HP Evinrude E-TEC. With room for up to 4 guests, the boat provides a stable platform for working baits and battling big Hudson River Stripers. Rods, reels, tackle, and bait are provided, so all you need to worry about is being ready when a fish takes off with your line!

Whether you're hoping to introduce the family to Striper fishing or you've been waiting all year for the Hudson run, Captain Nick will work hard to make the most of your time on the river.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
