About Your Trip

Hit the water with professional tournament angler Captain Tyler and experience some of the best Largemouth Bass fishing the Dallas-Fort Worth area has to offer!

Choose between 4 or 6 hours of fishing and build your trip around your schedule and goals. Captain Tyler regularly fishes Joe Pool Lake and other productive DFW-area fisheries, adjusting the location and approach based on current conditions and where he expects to find the best bite.

No two days
of bass fishing are exactly alike, so Captain Tyler will tailor your approach to seasonal patterns. You might spend part of the day working shallow cover, breaking down offshore structure, finesse fishing, power fishing, or using modern electronics and forward-facing sonar to locate fish.

More than simply putting you on fish, Captain Tyler wants to help you become a better angler. His professional tournament experience allows him to break down everything from fish behavior and seasonal movements to lure selection, electronics, and the decision-making process that goes into finding and catching Bass consistently.

Beginners are absolutely welcome, and Captain Tyler can walk you through the fundamentals at your own pace. More experienced fishermen can use the trip to dig deeper into advanced techniques, learn a new fishery, sharpen their electronics skills, or prepare for tournament competition.

You'll fish aboard Captain Tyler's fully rigged 20' Phoenix bass boat powered by a 250HP Mercury and equipped with modern electronics. Rods, reels, tackle, lures, water, and ice are provided, so you can show up ready to fish.

Whether you've got a few hours to sneak onto the lake or want more time to break down different patterns, Captain Tyler is ready to build the day around what you want to get out of your time on the water!

Independent Guide
Captain Tyler is a professional tournament Bass angler who brings years of competitive fishing experience directly to his guided trips around North Texas.

Originally from Northern California, Captain Tyler went on to fish collegiately at Auburn University before continuing to build his career in competitive Bass fishing. He's since competed on fisheries across the country, earning numerous top finishes while testing his skills against some of the best anglers in the sport.

Most recently, Captain Tyler's success on the tournament
trail earned him Angler of the Year honors in 2025. That competitive background has taught him how to quickly break down unfamiliar water, recognize changing patterns, understand fish behavior, and make the constant adjustments required to consistently find Bass.

Today, he enjoys sharing that knowledge with anglers around the Dallas-Fort Worth area. His trips can be as straightforward or technical as you'd like. Beginners can learn the fundamentals of Bass fishing, while experienced anglers can dive into advanced topics like seasonal movements, lure selection, offshore fishing, tournament strategy, and modern forward-facing sonar.

Captain Tyler is also passionate about introducing younger anglers to the sport. From helping a kid catch their first Bass to coaching high school tournament fishermen, he enjoys giving the next generation the knowledge and confidence they need to keep progressing.

Whether you're chasing your first Largemouth, hunting for a trophy, preparing for a tournament, or looking to better understand your electronics, Captain Tyler looks forward to sharing what he's learned and helping you become a better angler along the way.
