Spend five hours chasing panfish across the productive inland waters around Montague and Whitehall with Captain Ryan.

Depending on the season and where the bite is best, you may target Bluegill, Crappie, Yellow Perch, Northern Pike, and Walleye. Ryan will adjust the approach to the conditions, using proven light-tackle techniques like slip bobbers, perch rigs, spinning gear, and drop shots to keep your group around active fish.

This is a great trip for families, kids, and anglers who simply want consistent action without making a long run offshore. With plenty of opportunities to stay involved and keep rods bent, it’s an easygoing way to enjoy Michigan fishing while still putting some quality fish in the cooler.

You’ll fish aboard a 23' Warrior 238, a modern and comfortable fishing platform equipped with Humminbird and Garmin electronics, a live bait well, and a wireless trolling motor.

Rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided, and catch cleaning is available when the cleaning station is open. Just make sure everyone in your group has the appropriate Michigan fishing license before heading out.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
