About Your Trip

Head onto Lake Michigan for five hours of hard-fighting Salmon and Steelhead action with Captain Ryan.

Leaving from the Montague and Whitehall area, Ryan will follow the seasonal bite in search of Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Rainbow Trout, and other Great Lakes species. Depending on conditions, your trip may stay closer to shore or run farther up the Lake Michigan coast to find productive water.

Trolling is the primary technique, with Ryan using light tackle,
downriggers, and a well-managed spread to cover the water column and put baits in front of active fish. When a rod starts screaming, grab it and get ready for the powerful runs that make Great Lakes Salmon fishing so much fun.

You’ll fish aboard Ryan’s 23' Warrior 238, powered by a 350 HP Suzuki and equipped with modern Humminbird and Garmin electronics. The boat is built for serious Great Lakes fishing while still providing a comfortable platform for families and small groups.

Rods, reels, tackle, and lures are included, and a First Mate may be available to help keep lines set and the trip running smoothly. Catch cleaning and filleting are also available when the cleaning station is open.

Whether you’re chasing your first King Salmon or coming back for another Lake Michigan trophy, Ryan will build the trip around the conditions and give your group a great shot at finding fish.
