Spend a full day chasing Lake Erie Walleye with Captain Ryan! With nearly 15 years of experience fishing these waters, Ryan follows the fish throughout the season to keep you close to the action.

Lake Erie's Walleye are constantly on the move. In the spring, trips typically focus on the western portion of the lake before following migrating fish east as the water warms through the summer. When temperatures begin dropping in the fall, the action shifts back west. Depending on the time of year and current bite, your trip could take place anywhere from Port Clinton to Cleveland.

Captain Ryan will provide all of the rods, reels, tackle, and bait you'll need for the day, so you can simply show up ready to fish. He'll adjust tactics based on the conditions and current Walleye patterns, using his experience on the lake to give your group the best opportunity to put fish in the boat.

These trips are private for groups of up to 4 and welcome anglers of every experience level. Whether you're an experienced Walleye angler, fishing Lake Erie for the first time, or bringing the kids out for a day on the water, Captain Ryan keeps things relaxed and hands-on.

Captain Ryan has spent nearly 15 years fishing Lake Erie and practically grew up on the water with his family. After purchasing his own boat in 2021, he began spending even more time on the lake with friends and family, developing a firsthand understanding of its changing conditions and seasonal fish movements.

Ryan earned his USCG Captain's License in 2025 and now puts that experience to work showing anglers what Lake Erie has to offer. He specializes in Walleye and Yellow Perch and follows the fish throughout the season, fishing Ohio waters from Port Clinton to Cleveland.

Above all, Captain Ryan prides himself on providing a relaxed and enjoyable day on the water while working hard to put fish in the boat. From experienced anglers to first-timers and families with kids, everyone is welcome aboard!

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
