About Your Trip

Years spent hunting the marshes and coastal waters of the Gulf Coast have given me a solid understanding of local waterfowl, seasonal movements, and the changing conditions that come with every hunt. Duck hunting takes patience, preparation, and knowing how to read the conditions, and that experience shapes the way I approach each day in the field.

From scouting ahead of time to adjusting when conditions change, I work to give hunters the best opportunity for a successful day. Whether you've spent years in the marsh or are heading out on your first duck hunt, my focus is on providing a safe, enjoyable experience rooted in respect for wildlife, hunting regulations, and the traditions of waterfowl hunting.

Independent Guide

I’ve been fishing the waters around Gulf Shores and Mobile Bay since I was young with my father and brother(Capt. Cade), and there’s nowhere else I’d rather be. I run inshore and nearshore trips with a focus on light tackle — because in my opinion, that’s the most fun way to do it.

Red snapper are my favorite to target, but what I enjoy most is seeing clients — especially kids and first-timers — hook into something that gets their heart racing. I’m laid back, but I’ll admit I’ve got a competitive side when it comes to putting people on fish.

I am a GSU graduate ( GATA ) that has obtained a USCG captain’s license and years of experience being a deck hand in the area, you’re getting someone who knows these waters and takes pride in running a first-class operation. I believe in taking care of our fishery so future generations can enjoy it too.

If you want a relaxed trip with someone who knows the area and genuinely wants you to succeed, I’d love to have you aboard.

We took our first family fishing trip (3 hour inshore) today with Captain Reid and had the best time! We boarded his awesome boat in Fort Morgan and caught a variety of fish. Captain Reid was very knowledgeable, friendly and made sure we had a great experience. It was a very relaxing, laid back trip. Well worth the money. We look forward to another fishing trip soon. Thanks Captain Reid!

My family and I had an opportunity to book through Captain Experiences and we were very fortunate to get Captain Reid. We had a wonderful experience, Reid was fantastic and knew the water well and area. Captain Reid had us all on fish immediately and through the entirety of the fishing trip we caught fish. I would highly recommend Captain Reid and his boat and equipment and fishing experience.

Reid took this trip on short notice after another guide had a scheduling conflict. If the point was to catch fish, then Reid did his job. We brought in over 30 fish during the short trip between the 4 of us. Brought my two pre teen daughters and they greatly enjoyed the experience. Was cool getting to fish an oil platform when you’re used to Midwest lake fishing. Reid also accomplished something I thought impossible, he convinced my wife not only to bait her own hook, but to hold a fish herself for a picture. Thanks again for taking us out, I will look Reid up again when in the area.

Although we came in after several rain storms and didn’t catch the big one, we still enjoyed Capt.Reid. He was very friendly and down to earth, seemed to be very knowledgeable and experienced in the game. We will definitely hit him up next time and hopefully time better weather conditions 🤩 thanks, The Aymond’s

Went out with Captain Reid on a 3 hour trip out of Fort Morgan. We had steady action and caught about a dozen keepers. Captain Reid worked hard and was very patient with a couple of newbie's in our group. He did not even get too upset when on of his rod's went overboard (he was able to recover it). I will definitely use him again.

Reid was great, although we didn’t catch anything to bring home (water was rough after the storm went through), we still enjoyed our trip. Reid took us a few different places, we caught hardhead, gafftop, and lady fish. Reid made sure we were always baited up and carried on good conversation. When we come back we plan to use him again!

Very nice guy. Awesome Guide. We had questionable weather on our 1st attempt and he worked hard to make the trip happen later in our trip. He put us on some fish really quick. Highly recommend. Ohhh and as a bonus.... AWESOME taste in music on the ride in and out.
