Experience one of the most unique and rewarding fishing adventures in Texas on this fully guided 3- or 4-day float trip down the legendary Devils River with Tyler. Combining incredible fishing, stunning scenery, and remote wilderness camping, this trip offers a rare opportunity to disconnect from the everyday world and immerse yourself in one of the most pristine river systems in the state.

Over the course of the trip, you'll travel approximately 15 to 20 miles down the crystal-clear waters of the Devils River. Known for its rugged beauty, dramatic limestone cliffs, spring-fed flows, and remarkable water clarity, the river provides a truly unforgettable setting for anglers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Every bend in the river reveals new water to explore, from deep pools and rocky runs to shallow riffles and current seams that hold fish throughout the system.

Tyler will guide each guest individually from an oar raft, allowing for a highly personalized experience and the ability to fish productive water efficiently throughout the journey. Whether you're an experienced angler or newer to river fishing, Tyler will provide instruction, local knowledge, and hands-on guidance to help you make the most of your time on the water.

When the fishing day winds down, you'll settle into camp along the river and enjoy the peaceful solitude that makes the Devils River such a special destination. Far from city lights and crowded boat ramps, evenings are spent relaxing along the riverbank, sharing stories from the day, enjoying great meals, and taking in the incredible natural surroundings.

This trip is designed to be as seamless as possible. All fishing gear, camping equipment, river permits, meals, and shuttle transportation are included in the package. With the logistics handled for you, all that's left to do is enjoy the adventure.

Beyond providing an incredible outdoor experience, this trip also contributes to the future of the river itself. A portion of every Devils River trip fee is donated to the Devils River Conservancy and Texas Parks & Wildlife to help preserve and protect this remarkable fishery and ecosystem for future generations.

Please note that the remaining trip balance must be paid in full at least three days prior to your scheduled departure date. This is a true bucket-list river adventure that combines fishing, exploration, and conservation in one unforgettable experience with Tyler.

Techniques

Everything Else to Know

Hat/Cap, Polarized sunglasses, Sunscreen, Clothing for wade fishing. We recommend 8-9 ft 3-6 wt fly rods with 7-9 ft 4x or 5x size leaders and 5x or 6x size tippet if you bring your own tackle. Trip includes all fishing gear (you may bring your own if preferred), personal guide, snacks, lunch, and water (let us know if you have a drink preference). Waders and boots available upon request.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
The deposit for this trip is non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

This was pur second trip with Tyler. We went a little earlier in spring and the temps were cooler, but the fishing was hotter! Great guide in an amazing location. We caught large mouth upto 5.25lbs, lots of 3 lb+ fish and a few smallmouth as well.
