About Your Trip

This is a perfect trip for families and new anglers. In addition to fishing a range of inshore habitats for a wide variety of species, you’ll get to see landmarks such as the Bodie Island Lighthouse, Duck Island Club, the old commercial fish houses, and secluded sand islands fish camps. Usually, you’ll also get to see pods of dolphin.

Let Captain James be your guide to some of the best inshore fishing in the Outer Banks as you troll for Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel, drift for Croaker, Flounder, Spotted Seatrout, and Triggerfish, and cast out for Redfish in the beautiful Oregon Inlet area. You'll get to use several different techniques, and with some luck you'll pull up a champion fish from one of Captain James' secret holes.

On the morning of the trip, you'll head out Captain James' recently-revamped 41' sportfisher, built for speed, performance, and comfort. He'll bring everything necessary for a blue-ribbon fishing experience, including rods, reels, tackle, bait, and most importantly, his expertise for catching prizewinners. To maximize your experience on the water, make sure to remember a pair of Polarized Sunglasses, a Hat, Weather-Appropriate Clothing, and Sunscreen!

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
