About Your Trip

On this trip, you'll focus on Tripletail and Red Snapper, both delicious eating fish that are equally fun to catch. They like to congregate around offshore structure, such as oil rigs, and deepwater reefs and rocks, so you'll go after them with bottomfishing techniques. You'll spend a while getting out to the prime fishing grounds, but once you're there, get ready for a fight! Snapper and Tripletail are both solid fish that are not going to let you land them easily.

You'll be chasing these fish aboard Captain Rich's 26' Blackjack center console—the perfect boat for chasing big-time gamefish in these waters. It has everything you need for a blue-ribbon experience, including Simrad electronics and radar, Blade Power Pole, and a MinnKota trolling motor.

Captain Rich knows how to put you on 'em, and has years of experience guiding all kinds of guests, from seasoned anglers to first-timers. Prior to becoming a guide, Rich spent more than a decade in law enforcement, and loves taking out police, EMS, veterans, and others who've served their country or community.

Captain Rich will provide all the rods, reels, tackle, bait and ice for your trip. All you have to bring is your Louisiana fishing license and your sunscreen, and Captain Rich will take care of the rest!

Capt rich was very communicative with pick up and knew exactly where the fish were! Only took us about 3-4 hours to get a 6 man red limit. Great company too to have on board as a capt. Will be back for sure!

Had a redfish trip with Captain Rich on 7-17-24. We had some thunder storms in the area but he was able to navigate around the to get to the first spot. He could tell we were fairly experienced and offered us great advice on how to get on them. When the storms started moving in he took us to a different place. We slayed them! First Time Booking with Us?

Captain Experiences is the home of over 1500 Damn Good fishing and hunting guides. Our mission is to unlock the outdoors for everyone, and we want to help you get out there through our no-hassle online booking experience and our team of outdoors experts.
We vet our guides to make sure they are the best of the best. We want guides who not only put you on 'em, but show you a great time, keep you safe, and give you a memorable experience with your group.
Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!
In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.
Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
Once you book the trip, we will connect you directly with the guide to go over any additional details. In the meantime, our team is always available to answer your questions via email, text, chat, or call!
