About Your Trip

Hop on board with Captain Juan and prepare for an action-packed day of offshore fishing in Costa Rica! Costa Rica offers excellent fishing on one of the most stunning coastlines in the world!

On the 3 and 5-hour trips, Captain Juan will keep you close to the bay where you can target exciting nearshore species such as Red Snapper, Roosterfish and more. These trips are great for getting a taste of what the Pacific has
to offer without going too far from the dock!

On the 6 and 9-hour trips, Captain Juan will take you up to 40 miles off the coast where you can target impressive big game fish like Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Marlin, and Yellowfin Tuna. Ceviche, papaya, pineapple, and other snacks and fruit will be provided to keep you reeling in those fish! For the serious anglers who choose the 9-hour trip, beer, liquor and sandwiches will be onboard for you as well.

Depending on the fish you can choose from a variety of techniques and this boat is equipped with heavy tackle, light tackle, trolling and jigging. Whether you want to jig your heart out or lay back and wait for a rod to bend, Captain Juan will take you to the best spots and share some expert tips! If you want to go for a certain species, just let Juan know and he'll get you set up with the best method. Everything you catch is yours to keep!

Captain Juan fishes aboard a 32’ Topaz Rampage sportfisher that can take 6 anglers on the water. Powered by twin 330 HP Detroit engines, this hefty vessel will have no problem cutting through the offshore waters! She comes with all the GPS, Fishfinder, Flybridge, Fighting Chair, Snorkeling Equipment, a Live Bait Well, Outriggers, Tuna Tubes and an Ice Box to store your catches. Also on board are amenities for your comfort such as a Bed, Kitchen, Refrigerator and Multimedia System.

Captain Juan will provide all rods, reels, bait and tackle. All you need to bring is sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and any food and drinks you want on the water. These scenic trips can host up to 6 people, so make sure you bring some good company and a camera!
