About Your Trip

Join Nick for a memorable day of fishing on the productive waters of East and West Matagorda Bay, one of the Texas Coast's premier destinations for inshore anglers. Whether you choose a 5-hour half-day trip or an 8-hour full-day adventure, you'll have the opportunity to explore a diverse fishery known for healthy populations of hard-fighting game fish and beautiful coastal scenery.

Matagorda Bay offers a wide variety of habitat, from shallow flats and grass beds
to oyster reefs, marsh drains, and deeper channels. Nick uses his local knowledge of tides, weather, and seasonal fish movements to put anglers in the best areas possible throughout the day. As conditions change, he can adjust locations and presentations to stay on productive water and maximize opportunities.

Depending on the season and current conditions, you'll be targeting Black Drum, Flounder, Redfish, and Sheepshead. Each species provides a unique challenge, making for an exciting and well-rounded day on the water. From powerful Redfish cruising the shallows to Flounder holding along structure and Black Drum feeding around reefs, there's always the potential for memorable action.

Nick enjoys helping anglers improve their skills and learn new techniques along the way. Whether you're an experienced fisherman looking to fine-tune your approach or a newcomer eager to gain confidence, he'll gladly share tips, strategies, and local insights throughout the trip.

You'll be fishing from a versatile bay boat designed to comfortably navigate the varied waters of Matagorda Bay while providing a stable platform for casting and fighting fish.

All rods, reels, and lures are provided, making it easy to step aboard and start fishing. Be sure to bring a valid Texas saltwater fishing license, a cooler for your catch, and any food or drinks you'd like for the day. Come spend time on the water with Nick and experience everything Matagorda Bay has to offer.
