About Your Trip

The Everglades is a world class fishery loaded with healthy peacock bass and other exotics. Here they are keen on the fly and with the use of artificial. Live bait always will produce larger numbers of fish and is great for beginners and kids. Come for the scenery and wildlife the fishing is just a bonus.
If you’ve never been to the Florida Everglades before, you’re missing out. You’ll be fishing aboard Johnny’s 23 foot Pathfinder bay boat equipped with a 250 HP Yamaha engine, a GPS, fish finder, live bait well, wireless trolling motor, and an ice box. This boat can accommodate 4 anglers. Johnny likes to use a variety of techniques, including light tackle and spinning. If you would like to fly fish, let Johnny before the trip.
Make sure you bring a valid Florida freshwater fishing license, some food and drinks for the day, sunscreen, and a hat. Johnny will take care of all rods, reels, and tackle. If you want to fly fish, Johnny will provide the equipment, but feel free to bring your own if available.
Bring your kids or your angling buddies and head out to a fishing adventure to remember!

Captain Johnny is great with kids and loves introducing new anglers to the sport- what better way to get hooked on fishing than to go toe to toe with hefty Clown Knife Fish and angry Peacock Bass?!

Captain Johnny provides top quality rods, reels, and tackle, and live bait.

In addition to Peacock Bass and Clown Knife Fish, anglers can also expect to catch Striped Bass, Largemouth Bass, Jack Alligator Gar, Ladyfish, and Midas Cichlid while fly fishing or fishing with conventional light tackle.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 100 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 100 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
