About Your Trip

Whether you're an avid angler or a vacationer just looking to experience the beautiful Indian River Lagoon, fishing these bountiful waters with Captain Neal is an adventure you'll never forget. He was born and raised near Oak Hill, and knows these waters like the back of his hand. If you're looking to bag a personal best or fill your cooler, he's your man. Captain Neal also has tons of fishing tips and tricks up his sleeve, so you're sure to leave his boat a better fisherman than when you stepped on.

On this trip, you'll be targeting Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, and Flounder on light tackle. Let Captain Neal show you the best hot spots and hideaways for champion fish, then cast out and get ready to reel 'em in! Whether it's your hundredth catch or your first, these species are always a blast to hook and great to eat as well.

On the day of the trip, you’ll step aboard Neal's beautiful 19’ Polar bay boat—an ideal vessel for hitting the inshore and the flats. She’s powered by a reliable 90-HP Suzuki, so you’ll be on the fish smoothly and comfortably.
Captain Neal will provide you with top-of-the-line rods and reels, plus tackle, lures, and bait! Don’t forget to wear proper clothing and bring sunscreen, snacks, and water.

Captain Neal was born eight miles from Oak Hill, in a three story building that served for a hospital at the time.
His family has a rich heritage; settling in the area in the 1800's and remaining here to work the land and the sea. Throughout the years they worked in orange groves and on the river catching fish, and eventually opening a wholesale/retail seafood market that operated internationally.

Captain Neal has been operating a boat since he was nine
years old. Since that time, he's never wanted anything more than to work on the river. In the years since, he's learned every nook and cranny of the area and knows the habitat and feeding habits of every species of fish in the area. Book a trip with him to see what fishing here is all about!

My 9 year old son and I had a wonderful time. Captain Neal was friendly and informative. We caught trout, sailcat, and hooked and saw a tarpon but it broke the line about 10-15 feet from the boat. It was amazing. We are returning to Florida in December and we will be booking with Captain Neal again.
