About Your Trip

Join Taylor for an unforgettable shallow water flats fishing adventure in the legendary Mosquito Lagoon, one of Florida’s most famous sight fishing destinations. This trip is all about working the skinny water, poling quietly across grass flats and sandy shorelines in search of tailing and cruising fish in crystal-clear conditions.

Guests are invited to bring their favorite light tackle or fly fishing setup, or use provided gear if needed. The focus is on precision sight
fishing, where patience, timing, and accurate casts make all the difference. As you move slowly through the lagoon, you will have the chance to spot fish before ever making a cast, creating an exciting and highly interactive fishing experience.

Target species include redfish, black drum, snook, and sea trout, all commonly found feeding across the flats and edges of Mosquito Lagoon. These fish often reveal themselves by pushing wakes, tailing in shallow water, or cruising along grass lines, giving anglers a visual and rewarding fishing opportunity that is both technical and memorable.

In addition to the fishing, this trip offers plenty of wildlife viewing throughout the day. Guests frequently encounter native bird species, manatees, and dolphins sharing the same waters. The natural beauty of the lagoon adds to the experience, making every moment on the water enjoyable even between casts.

Taylor poles the boat through the shallows, carefully navigating the flats while helping anglers spot fish and make effective presentations. His hands-on approach keeps the trip engaging while still allowing guests to fully experience the quiet, immersive nature of the environment. And if you glance back, you may even catch a glimpse of your guide working the pole and keeping everything on track through the skinny water.

This is a true Mosquito Lagoon sight fishing experience where guests come as clients and leave as friends, with a day focused on connection, skill, and unforgettable inshore fishing action with Taylor.

Eventually I found that I loved working the poll just as much as I loved catching the fish, which led me to pursue guiding.
Putting my clients on fish is just as exciting as hooking into my own.

Taylor was a great captain who was a joy to fish with and put us on the fish. He's an easy going guy who, despite being a younger captain, already has considerable experience in Mosquito Lagoon. He was right on time, the boat was clean and well-organized, and spotted so many fish for us. Taylor is your secret weapon in the Lagoon.
