About Your Trip

If you're looking to get on some spectacular inshore sportfish in the Ruskin area, there's no better guide than Captain Frankie. He's been fishing these waters years, and he knows the mangrove channels, oyster bars, and flats better than anyone else.

Once you're off the dock and on the water, you'll be targeting classic inshore species such as Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, and Snook. These fish are all great fighters, and are an absolute blast to
catch, whether it's your first time out there, or your thousandth. Snappers are also a tasty eating fish, and Captain Frankie is happy to clean a few keepers for you.

You'll be chasing bites using light-tackle techniques, fishing both live bait and lures depending on the season, water conditions, and weather. Captain Frankie is a pro, and he's got an array of tips and tricks to help you hook a personal best!

He runs his trips aboard his 23' Key West bay boat—an ideal vessel for hunting lunkers in inshore waters. She's fast, with a 250-HP Yamaha engine, and a hull profile that's sharp enough to cut through chop and shallow enough to get into backcountry channels where big fish like to congregate. She's also equipped with a wireless trolling motor to help you sneak up on your targets, plus a live well for bait and an ice box for your keepers.

Everything you need will be provided for you, including rods, reels, bait, and tackle. All you need to bring is sunscreen (lotion only, no spray!), a hat, and a pair of sunglasses to cut the surface glare. Get out there and have a blast!

Captain Frankie was born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL. Since he was old enough to walk down to the marinas, bridges, and piers, he has been obsessed with fishing.

For many years—as we all know too well—life happens and our passions take a back seat to survival. While he has always had a love for the water and the excitement of catching big ones, Frankie only recently brought his dream to fruition and became a U.S. Coast Guard certified
captain. Join him for a trip on the beautiful waters of Tampa Bay and let him show you the thrill of a bite on the rod, the excitement of fighting the catch, and the satisfaction of knowing you too haul in a record.

Frankie was great. He took us to multiple locations to catch a variety of fish. Every member of the charter caught several fish. Frankie took the time to ensure each member mastered the needed approach to catch different species. We booked a 4 hour finishing charter and caught fish the entire time. We caught grouper, snapper, and sea trout. At the end of the trip Frankie cleaned the fish and we had more than enough fillets for the grill. He even gave information about the bay and some history during the trip. We all had fun, ages 13 to 70.
