About Your Trip

Whether you're chasing trophy Walleye, high-flying Smallmouth Bass, or tasty Yellow Perch, Captain Dave is your man. With over twelve years of professional chartering experience, he knows how to deliver a safe, enjoyable trip and put you on the fish!

Although Lake Erie isn't the biggest or the deepest of the Great Lakes, it certainly has some of the best fishing, with strong native stocks of Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Perch, and more! On this trip
with Captain Dave, you'll have full access to this rich fishery, and you'll have a blast whether you're an experienced angler or still pretty green.

When you're targeting multiple species, you'll naturally use different techniques to maximize your chances of success. Here, that means slow-trolling for Walleye, which like to hit lures moving quickly near the bottom, as well as light tackle cast-and-retrieve techniques for Smallmouth Bass and Perch. Bass are typically a catch-and-release species, but Walleye and Perch are both excellent eating fish, and Captain Dave is happy to clean them for you at the dock! Just bring a cooler so you can take your keepers home.

You'll be out there aboard his 30' Baha cuddy cabin, an ideal boat for fishing in all conditions. With an enclosed cabin area, a big rear deck for casting, and plenty of trolling gear and amenities, she's perfect for family trips. The fish are biting—what are you waiting for?!
