About Your Trip

If you're looking to get on some world's most spectacular Tarpon fishing, look no further than this trip with Captain Jorge! This is a true bucket-lister: eight full days of exhilarating Tarpon fishing off one of Central America's most beautiful coasts, combined with incredible amenities for one affordable price.

Your captain and guide, Jorge, is ane expert when it comes to finding, hooking, and fighting Tarpon, the Western Hemisphere's premier inshore sportfish. These fish are
big, beautiful, and known worldwide for their ferocious fighting abilities and acrobatic leaps! Commonly known as the "Silver King", these fish are the top predators in their inshore habitat, and landing one is truly the experience of a lifetime.

It takes great skill and technique to land a Tarpon; they're very strong and extremely agile, with crazy head-shaking and tail-walking that can throw even a solidly-set hook. In addition, they're picky eaters, and can be very selective with the baits and lures they choose to go after. Because of this, your guide's experience and expertise are invaluable; Jorge knows what his local Tarpon prefer to chase, how to properly present your lure or bait, and then how to avoid losing the fish once it's on the line.
Tarpon behavior changes also depending on the season, the water conditions, and the phases of the moon, all of which Jorge takes into account when guiding your trips.

He runs these adventures aboard a traditional wooden panga—a narrow, shallow-draft boat style that's meant for poling across flats and getting into inshore backwater. She has a deck that's ideal for active fish-fighting, and her V-shaped profile cuts easily through chop and surf.

Everything you need will be provided for you, including rods, reels, bait, and tackle. All you need to bring is sunscreen (lotion only, no spray!), a hat, and a pair of sunglasses to cut the surface glare. Get down to Sandy Bay Sirpi there and get ready for the trip of a lifetime!
