Captain David offers serious Venice fishing charters for Yellowfin Tuna and much more. Captain David commands over a decade of experience running Venice fishing charters for Yellowfin Tuna and other bluewater species like Swordfish, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, and more.

Venice, LA, fondly known as is worth fishing right, and there's no better way than to hire a licensed and insure, experienced guide like Captain David, who's also knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly.

There's a reason they call Louisiana a "Sportsman's Paradise"
and there's further reason to call Venice “The Fishing Capital of the World.” Oil rigs scatter the coastline 30-50 miles offshore and are magnets for a wide range of fish species. In addition, the massive natural underwater topographic structures and canyons provide ample cover for giant pelagic predator species like Tuna, Swordfish, and Marlin.

Have a blast targeting Yellowfin Tuna, which can be caught year-round out of Venice, Louisiana. Loved for their fight and quality meat, this is a true bucket list fish. You can also chase Swordfish, Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, Cobia, Wahoo, and even Marlin, as well as bottom fish like Red Snapper, and Grouper.

Captain David runs a 38’ Fountain center console powered by a big-time triple 350HP Mercury Verados. The boat is equipped with a full arsenal of marine electronics so you can find fish faster. Once you're on 'em Captain David's full outrigger and downrigger set will have multiple lines trolling in the water to increase your chances of a monster hookup.

Your first stop out will be for fresh baitfish, so no baited trailing hook will stay untouched for long. Once you get a bite, you're in for the long haul thanks to all-Shimano tackle.

To wrap things up, Captain David and his crew will clean and fillet your catch for you, so remember to bring a cooler! You will also need a valid Louisiana saltwater fishing license for everyone onboard.

Importantly, FUEL IS NOT INCLUDED, and could cost from $300 to $1000, depending on the trip.

Fill in date, party size, trip duration, and start time above to book and get out there with Captain David and Captain Experiences!

Captain David was very good and interesting to talk with. Our first day out his deck hand had misunderstood our fishing days and was unable to go so David had to do the trip himself. Captain David was very good and interesting to talk with. Our first day out his deck hand had misunderstood our fishing days and was unable to go so David had to do the trip himself. He did his very best but unfortunately we didn't catch anything and helped him as much as possible. The second day he had two deckhands and it went so much more smoothly and they were very informative and very knowledgeable. They tried their best to put us on fish but it didn't work to our favor. We caught one swordfish. It was a very expressive trip for one fish but I understand that happens. I would definitely use captain David again and hope to try it again next year
