Incredible! Stunning! So fun! The crew is very experienced. They were able to accommodate our ship leaving early. Snorkeling with the sea turtles was our favorite part. Book with Captain J, you will not regret it!

I understand that fishing is fishing and it can be like that sometimes, but the weather was great and conditions were ideal. The captain and crew were friendly enough, but I didn't get the sense that they were interested in making any changes or trying new things or methods/locations in order to put us on some fish. I think it was more of the lack of effort (or competence) of the captain and crew that made this an absolute waste of time. Steer clear of these guys!

Hey Drew, I’m very sorry that the trip didn’t live up to expectations, and I appreciate you giving us a try. This day just was a slow day. We did try working the drop-off, switched over to some inshore to try a few different approaches, but unfortunately it was just a tough day and they weren’t biting. I appreciate...

I’m glad we were able to talk it through and make things right. Looking forward to getting you back out there on the next one!

Response from Javano:
Hey Timothy, sorry for the misunderstanding about the number of rods we use. This is due to the size of the vessel and to prevent tangled lines. Also those lifevest and emergency equipment in the restroom are for everyone's safety. Hope you guys enjoyed the fish tacos.

Hey Timothy, this is Trey with Captain Experiences. I’m sorry to hear the trip didn’t live up to expectations, and I appreciate you sharing your feedback. Since the big-game bite was slow, Captain Javano offered to switch to bottom fishing, which requires running 5 rods to avoid tangles, so that’s why one was removed. It sounds like there may have been some miscommunication, but I’m glad to hear your group was still able to land...

some nice snapper. The crew also noted they offered to clean your fish but were asked to pack them on ice; fish cleaning is included on all trips. And just to clarify, there is a restroom on board where extra life vests are stored.

I’ve reached out to you directly as well, and I’m happy to work with you to make things right.
