Let Captain Mark be your guide to some of the top fishing on the Texas Gulf Coast! He has years of experience fishing this water, and knows all the best spots around Corpus Christi to find big ol' Redfish, Trout, and Flounder.

On this trip, you'll be fishing aboard his 22' Blue Wave bay boat, a fast boat powered by a 148-HP Evinrude engine. Depending on the area and the species, you'll use a combination of live bait and lures on light tackle to bring in the fish. Captain Mark is extremely knowledgeable and has tons of tips and tricks to help improve your presentation, perfect your technique, and ultimately bring in more trophy fish!

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced angler, this trip will be a blast. It's also a great way to hook a "Texas Grand Slam" by catching a Redfish, a Trout, and a Flounder in one day! Get out there and see all the great fishing that Corpus Christi offers with Captain Mark.

Captain Mark has spent more than 30 years fishing and hunting the Corpus Christi area and the rest of the Coastal Bend. Over the past year and a half, he’s turned that lifelong experience into a guiding business where he loves sharing what he’s learned with every guest who steps aboard.

A true speckled trout specialist, Mark regularly puts anglers on so many quality 18–19 inch fish that catch-and-release becomes part of the fun by the end of the trip. He’s passionate about teaching others how to fish and believes there’s always something new to learn. While he respects the old techniques that still produce big fish, he’s constantly refining his approach and adapting to what the water is doing each day.

When he’s not on the water, Mark enjoys working on vehicles — especially his race car. He looks forward to showing guests a great time on the water and creating a trip they’ll remember long after they’re back at the dock.

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel up to 1 day before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Mark put us on the Redfish! We had 4 rods going at all times. 3 with cut bait and while those soaked we threw soft plastics and top water plugs along the shell reefs! We landed 3 awesome reds, two of which were our groups first ever redfish. And missed plenty more. Can’t wait to fish with Mark again soon!

As a business owner of 3 companies I couldn’t say more on how Mark treated me, my boy, my nephew and my brother in law. Customer first and he delivered. Being a busy guy I haven’t had much time to get away and show my son a lot about fishing which I grow up doing. Mark was very helpful with the boys and taught them a lot very fast. Boys really enjoyed it. It was more about them then us. It’s was nice to get away from the busy oil patch. Made me realize is not always about work , cherish them moments with your kids. Had a great time with Captain Mark. Great communication before the trip. Brought my 8 year old son for his birthday along with his best friend and his friend’s dad.
It was the boys first time fishing off a boat and Mark made everyone feel safe and comfortable and was ready with PFDs for the kids.
We didn’t have the best of luck catching any keepers, but the kids still enjoyed reeling in a few hard heads and undersized trout and reds.
Removing a star because our trip was cut short by about an hour without much of an explanation… don’t know if Mark was fatigued or misjudged our energy level.
Overall a fun trip and looking forward to the next one.

2 adults and a 14 year old. It was one of those August mornings when they just weren't hungry but Captain Mark worked his butt off to put us on fish. My son and I hired Capt. Mark for a 4 hour bay fishing trip. The first few hours were very slow. My son caught a keeper trout and had a nice Red on that broke the line. We were anchored up and fishing with Live Croakers. At the end of our 4 hours, Capt. Mark asked if we would like to fish for Reds using top water baits (Zara Spooks). We agreed and Mark took us to an area that was shallow and you could see the Reds working. My son had two or three blowups on his line and I had one. None of the strikes yielded a fish. We did fish for about 7 hours and Capt. Mark worked hard to put us on the fish. At the end of the day, we only had the one keeper trout. My son and I are both experienced anglers but rarely fish salt water. We used Mark's equipment (spinning rigs) and we are more accustomed to Basit Casters. All in all we had a good time and Capt. Mark was a pleasure to fish with. We did expect to catch more fish on a guided trip but, it's called fishing for a reason. Not sure we will be doing another guided bay fishing trip in the near future, but I would give Capt. Mark another try.
