About Your Trip

Turn your ordinary fishing trip into an exciting offshore adventure with this one-of-a-kind experience! The Islander is an anchored platform located off the coast of Louisiana by the Chandeleur Islands, offering overnight lodging and hospitality for anglers out on the water. You can also fish from the platform or get set up with one of their affiliated guides!

The Islander is your do-it-all spot in the Louisiana offshore. Park your boat right by the Islander
and spend a night there to maximize your time on the water, venture off the Islander in one of their available rental skiff boats to get the offshore fishing experience without the long excursion, or leave the whole experience up to the expert crew and book a trip with one of their trusted guides.

Once on board, you will enjoy a welcomed shower, a completely satisfying dinner, relaxation in air conditioned comfort, and perhaps drinks and a nice breeze on deck with your friends. Most importantly, you will sleep in clean, comfortable quarters, out of the water on a stationary platform, where you will have no further thought of winds, waves, or storms!

You are welcome to bring your own boat or have the crew arrange transportation at a reasonable cost. If you decide to set up your transport through them, they have optional 3-person skiffs available to rent at a cost of $150 per day. Skiffs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The loading/offloading dock is not designed for the overnight docking of boats. Weather conditions can deteriorate rapidly therefore your boat must be anchored safely away from the Islander and other boats overnight. Shuttle service is available. The crew highly suggests to bring adequate strength and length of rope to secure your boat to one of the 8 anchor buoys.

**Activities You Can Do from the Islander:**

Guided Fishing Trips - Experienced local guides can provide you with a great trip experience. The Islander crew can help you locate one.

Skiff Rentals - Venture out on your own in one of the 14' 3-man skiffs powered by 15 hp outboards. No additional fuel charges apply.

Fly Fishing - Fish on your own in the surf, off the dock, or the crew can help you locate a local fly guide.

Beach Life - Lounge, collect shells, observe coastal bird populations in their natural habitat.

Surf Fishing - Grab your gear, head for the beach, enjoy the thrill of fishing in the surf!

Night Fishing - 90' of illuminated dock area for night fishing. Lots of room, lots of fish!

Crabbing - Enjoy running crab nets along the islands or the our dock!

**Lodging:**

There are four 6-man bunk rooms that come with private lockers, a sink/mirror station, and access to restroom/shower facilities. All meals and beverages are inclusive while on board the Islander. Should you desire any food, snacks, bottled drinks or alcoholic beverages while out fishing, please bring sufficient quantities for use during your stay.
