About Your Trip

Not sure if fishing is your thing, but still want to experience the beautiful waters around Siesta Key and Sarasota? This combo trip with Captain Casey is the perfect way to enjoy a little bit of everything on the water, designed for families, beginners, and anyone looking for a relaxed day on the Gulf without the pressure of a full fishing trip.

The day starts with light inshore fishing in the calm waters of Sarasota
Bay, where you’ll target smaller, easy-to-catch species that keep things fun and engaging for everyone on board. This portion of the trip is catch and release only, making it ideal for first-time anglers, kids, or anyone who just wants to try fishing in a low-stress environment. With simple setups and plenty of action, it is a great introduction to the local fishery without needing any prior experience.

After the fishing portion, the trip shifts into full relaxation mode. You’ll head toward the exclusive Midnight Pass area, known for its clear water, shelling, and abundant shark teeth. Guests can walk the shoreline, hunt for shells, and search for fossilized shark teeth while enjoying the natural beauty of the Gulf Coast. From there, the experience continues with time at a scenic sandbar where you can swim, relax, and take in the calm, shallow waters that make this area so special.

The trip also includes a peaceful wildlife tour around the surrounding islands, offering opportunities to see dolphins, seabirds, and other coastal wildlife in their natural habitat. It is a slower-paced, scenic portion of the day that highlights the unique ecosystem of Sarasota Bay and Siesta Key.

Aboard the comfortable “No Bad Days,” guests enjoy shaded seating, a relaxed atmosphere, and plenty of space to unwind. This trip is designed so everyone leaves happy, sun-kissed, and with a true taste of what makes this part of Florida so special, whether you came for the fishing, the scenery, or both.

Meet Captain Casey, a true Sarasota native whose love for the water started just five days after he was born—and never let up. Growing up on boats and casting lines in the Gulf, Casey knows these waters like the back of his hand, from the quiet back bays to the shimmering shoreline of Siesta Key.

Since becoming a USCG-certified captain in 2015, he’s built a reputation for laid-back, high-energy trips that bring out the best of what Sarasota has to
offer. Whether you’re chasing Redfish, exploring Sarasota Bay, or watching the sun sink over the Gulf, Captain Casey works hard to make every trip memorable. His guests often return for the experience—part fishing, part storytelling, and always full of laughs.

Captain Casey is patient, personable, and passionate about teaching others what makes this fishery so special. He’s a five-star rated guide who’s just as excited to help you land your first catch as he is to swap tips with seasoned anglers. Plus, he’ll clean and fillet your fish at the end of the trip, so you can take home more than just great memories.

Come see why everything’s better on the water with Captain Casey—where every trip is crafted with care, experience, and a deep love for Sarasota’s coastal waters.
