Hop aboard with Captain Trey for a 2-day offshore safari out of Golden Meadow that gives you the time, range, and flexibility to chase down some of the most iconic big game species in the Gulf. This 36-hour trip is designed for anglers who want the full offshore experience—from trolling the blue water for pelagics to deep dropping for hard-pulling bottom dwellers and everything in between.

With a wide-open game plan and access to deep federal waters, this trip allows you to mix and match techniques based on what’s biting. Trolling the edges and current breaks could produce Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and even Blue Marlin. When the sun drops, the tuna grounds heat up—and you’ll have a shot at both Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna using live bait, chunking, or drift fishing under the stars. If you’re game, you can even target Swordfish with deep drop rigs during the day or night, depending on conditions.

When it’s time to switch things up, Captain Trey might set up over structure or drop-offs to target deepwater species like Snowy Grouper, Scamp, and Vermillion Snapper using electric reels or heavy tackle. With 36 hours to work with, there’s no rush—you’ll have time to dial into each bite and make the most of changing conditions offshore.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 53’ G&S sportfisher designed with long-range trips in mind. This vessel is fully equipped for comfort and performance, featuring an air-conditioned and heated cabin, bunks for resting, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and a full restroom. It’s spacious enough for up to 8 anglers and outfitted with advanced electronics, a livewell, and everything needed to keep you in the game day and night.

Captain Trey provides all rods, reels, tackle, bait, and fishing licenses. Your catch will be cleaned back at the dock so you can bring home a cooler full of fresh fillets. Feel free to bring your favorite food, drinks (no glass), and your playlist—Bluetooth is available to keep the tunes going.

Whether you’re chasing that first big tuna, hoping to hook a Swordfish, or just looking to experience everything the deep Gulf has to offer, this offshore safari gives you the time and opportunity to do it right.

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

The deposit for this trip is non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Great trip. John and Jason were great at keeping our lines baited up and continuously catching. Captain Trey did a great job moving to the spots where we could catch without too much wait. We caught a lot of fish. The only reason I didn't give them five out of five was we expected to keep the larger Red Snappers, but Captian's license doesn't allow him to keep out of season. Great guys, good experience...

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
