For this trip, Captain Eric will be at the helm, bringing his offshore expertise and local knowledge to help put you in productive waters and maximize your opportunities throughout the day. Whether you're an experienced angler looking to target offshore heavyweights or a newcomer eager to experience bluewater fishing for the first time, Captain Eric will tailor the approach to the conditions and your group's goals.

You'll be fishing aboard an impressive 42-foot Freeman, a high-performance offshore vessel built for speed, comfort, and long-range capability. Its size and stability make it an ideal platform for targeting a wide range of offshore species while providing plenty of room for anglers to fish comfortably.

Depending on the season and conditions, you'll have the opportunity to target a variety of prized offshore species. Tuna are a primary focus and are known for their blistering runs and incredible power. The trip may also include opportunities to pursue Grouper, Snapper, and a variety of pelagic species that roam the offshore waters. For anglers looking for an even greater challenge, be sure to ask about Swordfish opportunities as well.

Josh and his outfit are a Louisiana-based fishing charter company that offers a wide range of fishing trips and experiences for anglers of all skill levels. Founded by Captain Joshua and his partner Jock the company strives to build a reputation for providing top-notch fishing trips on the beautiful waters of Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico.

Josh and his marina represent multiple offshore fishing captains. Their fleet is exclusive to catamarans by the one and only, Freeman Boat Works. We offer multiple sized vessels, ranging from 33 to 42 feet in length. Freeman boats offer some of the best riding experiences on the water. They are fast, efficient, and most importantly, comfortable.

Josh's Captain have years of experience fishing in the Louisiana area. They are highly knowledgeable about the local fishing spots and have a keen eye for spotting the best areas to catch a variety of different fish species. They are also experts in using different types of fishing techniques, such as casting, trolling, and jigging, to ensure that their clients have the best chance of catching a trophy fish.

On their trips they offers a wide range of fishing trips for both individuals and groups. Whether you are an experienced angler or a beginner, our captains can tailor a trip to suit your needs and skill level. The company offers inshore fishing trips, which target red fish, speckled trout, and flounder in the bays and bayous of Louisiana. They also offer offshore fishing trips, which target tuna, snapper, grouper, amberjack, wahoo, marlin, shark, etc., in the Gulf of Mexico.

Cocodrie is located just west of Grand Isle, Venice, and Fourchon and south of Houma, LA. The company uses top-of-the-line fishing equipment and boats, ensuring that clients have the best possible fishing experience. The company also provides all necessary fishing gear, including rods, reels, and bait.

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Joshua will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 30 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 30 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

We vet our guides and only partner with the best of the best. Our guides do their very best to keep you safe, show you a great time, and send you home with a memorable experience shared with family and friends.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
