Independent Guide
I’m just a guy who loves the water and loves to fish. I have always had a love for fishing as I owned my first boat at just 18 years old and you would frequently find me fishing some lake or river on any given day. I am married and have 2 children. I was born and raised in STL MO. I moved to FL a little over 10 years ago, in which my love for the water and fishing continued to grow. I became scuba certified but wanted more. I was tired of turning wrenches as a mechanic everyday all day, but was afraid of branching out on my own away from what was a familiar steady income. My decision to become a guide was built on passion, desire and dedication. I have always wanted to be one. I finally just hit the bullet and did it. I finally traded my wrench in for a reel and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I love what I do and I love sharing my passion for being out on the water and fishing with others.

Rapid Fire Guide Q & A

What’s the biggest fish you’ve caught?
American Red Snapper, all kinds of Grouper, Shark, Swordfish, Mahi - all in a days work!
If you were cooking for all your friends what would you cook?
Snapper and African Pompano are my favorite fish to cook (and eat).
What’s your favorite band?
I wouldn’t say I have a favorite band. I like all kinds of music.
What’s your favorite movie?
I don’t have a favorite movie but prefer action or comedy over romance and drama any day. Fast and Furious was cool.
What’s your favorite sports team?
STL Cardinals
What’s your drink of choice?
Sweet Tea or Coke
What was your last halloween costume?
Haha. I can’t remember when the last time was that I dressed up for Halloween.
What do you want for Christmas this year?
Hmm…anything boating or fishing will do:)
How did you get started guiding?
Someone once told me if you love what you do for work, you will never work a day in your life. Fishing is and has always been my favorite pastime. Moving to FL a little over 10 years ago has only exacerbated that love. I love the water, being out on the boat, catching waves and fishing. I love taking people out fishing that have never been fishing before and getting them on some big fish. It makes my day to see their eyes lite up when a fish hits their line. My decision to become a guide was built on passion, desire and dedication. I have always wanted to be one. I finally just hit the bullet and did it. It was the best decision I’ve ever made.
What makes you different from other guides?
My customers are the most important thing to me in every trip. I strive to make sure each and every customer has the very best experience.
