On a Marlin trip we are fishing deep water 300-2000 ft, Trolling is the preferred method. No problem the deckhand will get the "Spread" for you. Trolling gives you the opportunity to catch anything from Wahoo and Dorado to Billfish. Sitting in the chair makes reeling in a big fish easier but you can always stand up and use a fighting belt. Finding floating grass or Debree is always a good place to find fish...

About Your Trip

On a Marlin trip we are fishing deep water 300-2000 ft, Trolling is the preferred method. No problem the deckhand will get the "Spread" for you. Trolling gives you the opportunity to catch anything from Wahoo and Dorado to Billfish. Sitting in the chair makes reeling in a big fish easier but you can always stand up and use a fighting belt. Finding floating grass or Debree is always a good place to find fish and the deckhand may ask you to keep your eyes peeled. This trip is looking for the trophy fish and requires a little more patience than other trips but can reap great rewards. *New for 2025 and beyond we have the pleasure to be part of the Texas FAD program. A FAD is a FISH ATTRACTING DEVICE. These are buoys 50 miles offshore in 1300ft of water. Having structure in the deep water off continental shelf creates a food chain starting with baitfish which attract predators such as Billfish, Wahoo and Tuna.*

Techniques

Everything Else to Know

Most people bring an ice chest for food and drink. Sunscreen is recommended . You must have at minimum a 1 day all water fishing license from Texas Parks and Wildlife available online or local bait shops.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 5 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 5 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Todd knew just where you take us to get the fish and if it was a miss he'd move us along to the next spot . Fernando was so hard working and helpful with myself and the kids. I never once had to bait a hook or remove a fish. He was patient with my family and thoroughly explained how to manovour the reel and exactly what to do. There was a bathroom and air conditioned room if needed. I'd definitely book again.
