If you've ever dreamed of battling one of the ocean's true giants, this offshore adventure with Captain Todd is the trip for you. Designed for anglers chasing trophy-class fish, this excursion takes you far offshore into deep Gulf waters where some of the most sought-after pelagic species roam.

The action takes place over water depths ranging from roughly 300 to 2,000 feet, where trolling is the primary method used to cover ground and locate feeding fish. Captain Todd and his crew will set a carefully arranged spread of baits and lures behind the boat, allowing you to focus on enjoying the ride and staying ready for the moment a reel erupts with a strike. One of the biggest advantages of trolling is the incredible variety of species you may encounter. While Billfish are the ultimate target, anglers also have opportunities to hook Wahoo, Mahi Mahi (Dorado), Tuna, and other powerful offshore predators.

Patience is an important part of trophy fishing, but the reward can be extraordinary. When a big fish finally crashes the spread, the excitement is instant. Anglers can fight fish from the fighting chair for added comfort and leverage during long battles, or choose to stand up and use a fighting belt for a more hands-on experience. Either way, you'll quickly appreciate the strength and endurance of these incredible offshore species.

As the day unfolds, the crew will constantly search for signs of life. Floating grass lines, debris, current breaks, and concentrations of baitfish can all hold game fish, and everyone onboard may have the chance to help spot productive areas. Keeping an eye on the water can often lead to exciting discoveries and unexpected opportunities.

A major addition to these trips beginning in 2025 and beyond is access to the Texas Fish Aggregating Device (FAD) program. These offshore buoys are positioned approximately 50 miles from shore in about 1,300 feet of water. In an otherwise featureless offshore environment, these structures create a complete food chain by attracting baitfish, which in turn draw larger predators. Billfish, Wahoo, Tuna, and other pelagic species are frequently found around these areas, providing exciting new opportunities for anglers targeting trophy fish.

This trip is geared toward those who want a true offshore experience and understand that chasing the biggest fish often requires time, persistence, and patience. The payoff can be the opportunity to battle some of the most prestigious game fish in the world while fishing some of the Gulf's most productive waters. Everything Else to Know

Most people bring an ice chest for food and drink. Sunscreen is recommended . You must have at minimum a 1 day all water fishing license from Texas Parks and Wildlife available online or local bait shops.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 5 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 5 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

My family of 6 (3 teens,3 adults) booked a 6 hour deep sea fishing trip with Todd and Fernando. They were very knowledgeable and so helpful considering we had zero experience with deep sea fishing and half of us were a little sea sick. My husband and I had an amazing time. Todd knew just where you take us to get the fish and if it was a miss he'd move us along to the next spot . Fernando was so hard working and helpful with myself and the kids. I never once had to bait a hook or remove a fish. He was patient with my family and thoroughly explained how to manovour the reel and exactly what to do. There was a bathroom and air conditioned room if needed. I'd definitely book again.
