You’ll be fishing aboard a 31’ Tiara Open, a sturdy and spacious vessel designed with comfort and performance in mind. With a 12-foot beam and a full head (restroom), this boat has plenty of room for you and your crew to relax between reeling in fish. Outfitted with updated electronics, Captain James uses the latest tools to locate the best fishing spots and maximize your chances of landing that dream catch. To make your experience even better, beer and alcohol are welcome on board – just remember to drink responsibly and enjoy the day with your crew!

Depending on the season, you’ll have the chance to target a variety of prized species, including King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Brown Trout. Captain James specializes in trolling – a highly effective method that lets you cover more water and hook into these powerful fish. Every tug on the line brings a rush of excitement, and when you reel in your catch, it’s yours to take home (as long as it’s legal to keep). Captain James will even clean and fillet your fish at the end of the trip, so all you have to do is fire up the grill or toss it in the freezer!

Families are more than welcome aboard, and Captain James loves helping kids experience the joy of fishing. If you don’t have a child-sized life vest, just ask the captain ahead of time to ensure everyone is set for a safe and enjoyable outing.

Everything Else to Know

Soft soled shoes , Sunglasses , camera , a jacket in cooler weather , A small Cooler for food or beverages. If your wearing shorts we suggest a pair of sweats or cover up just in case it gets chilly or a hatch of bugs .

Everyone should have a fishing License , they must be purchased before the trip and carry a paper copy on Lake Michigan .
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
