Your journey starts aboard Captain Andy’s 35-foot JAMA Offshore Rage, a modern fishing vessel built in 2022 with cutting-edge technology and design features that set it apart from the rest. With over 70 feet of fishing deck space, high gunnels for added safety, and 360-degree fishability, this boat comfortably accommodates up to six anglers. Equipped with advanced electronics, some of which haven’t even hit the market yet, the vessel ensures precision when it comes to finding fish. Safety is Captain Andy’s top priority, and the boat is outfitted with features like an 8-man life raft, Mustang Hydrostatic auto-inflate life jackets, offshore life jackets with lights and whistles, and a handheld VHF radio, so you can relax and focus on the fun.
Captain Andy will take you up to 25 miles offshore to target bottom-dwelling species like Rockfish and Lingcod. Rockfish provide plenty of action, striking quickly and putting up a fun fight, while Lingcod are known for their powerful runs and are highly prized for their tasty fillets. Using top-of-the-line gear provided by the crew, you’ll fish some of the best spots, with Captain Andy and his First Mate offering guidance to make sure you’re in the best position for success.
In addition to fishing, you’ll have the opportunity to drop crab pots and haul in some of Oregon’s famous Dungeness Crab. If sea conditions permit, this crabbing experience adds a hands-on and rewarding element to your trip. There’s nothing quite like the excitement of pulling up pots full of these delicious crustaceans, and Captain Andy will walk you through the process to make it a highlight of your day.
Everything you need for a successful outing is provided, including premium rods, reels, tackle, lures, and ice to keep your catch fresh. Bottled water and ginger ale are included to keep you hydrated, and the friendly First Mate is always on hand to assist with everything from baiting hooks to landing fish. The only things you’ll need to bring are an Oregon fishing and shellfish license, snacks, sunscreen, and weather-appropriate clothing. Alcohol is not permitted on board.
