About Your Trip

Get ready to explore the untouched, crystal-clear waters of the Lower Keys with Captain Nate, a seasoned local guide and Iraq war veteran who’s passionate about creating unforgettable fishing experiences. Unlike the fast-paced, high-turnover fishing charters common in resort areas, Captain Nate prides himself on a laid-back, personalized approach that focuses on connecting with his guests and leaving them eager to return for more.

Captain Nate’s backyard is home to some of the most diverse
and exciting fishing opportunities in the Florida Keys. Whether you’re looking to land the legendary “Silver King” Tarpon, stalk Bonefish and Permit on the flats, or chase hard-fighting predators like Barracuda, Jacks, and Sharks, there’s something for every angler here. And with species like Snook, Redfish, and Mangrove Snapper offering constant action, his trips are just as fun for beginners and kids as they are for experienced anglers. For families, introducing young ones to the thrill of fishing in the calm, shallow waters of the Keys is a truly special experience.

Captain Nate runs his trips aboard a 16’ Hewes Bonefisher Flats boat, a sleek and agile vessel that’s perfect for navigating the flats and inshore waters. Powered by a reliable 90 HP Yamaha engine, the boat is fully equipped with a fish finder, GPS, wireless trolling motor, live well, and icebox for your drinks and snacks. With room for up to two anglers, the setup offers an intimate fishing experience ideal for small groups or solo trips.

Choose from three distinct trip options to match your fishing goals:

- Half-Day Trip: Spend a few hours targeting inshore favorites like Permit and Redfish while enjoying the calm, beautiful waters of the Keys. This is the perfect option for those short on time but eager to get in on the action.
- 3/4 Day Trip: With extra time to explore productive fishing spots, this trip lets you target species like Bonefish, Redfish, and Permit while soaking up more of the Keys’ incredible scenery.
- Full Day Trip: For anglers who want the ultimate Lower Keys experience, a full day on the water allows you to chase everything from Bonefish and Jack Crevalle to Redfish and Seatrout. With plenty of time to hit multiple fishing spots, this trip is designed for those looking to get away from it all and make the most of their adventure.

All trips with Captain Nate include everything you need for a successful day on the water, from top-quality rods, reels, and tackle to live bait, lures, and fly fishing equipment. Bottled water is provided, and your catch will be cleaned and filleted at the end of the trip. All you need to bring are your snacks, drinks, sunscreen, and a readiness for adventure.

Captain Nate’s trips are the perfect blend of relaxation and excitement, offering world-class fishing without the crowds or rush. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a first-timer, his patience, expertise, and love for the water ensure an unforgettable day in one of the most beautiful fishing destinations in the world.
