Few fishing experiences compare to the thrill of hooking a Tarpon, and from May through the end of August, Captain Joe puts anglers right in the middle of one of the best Tarpon fisheries around. Known as the "Silver King," Tarpon are famous for their explosive strikes, acrobatic jumps, and blistering runs that leave anglers talking about the experience for years.

During this seasonal fishery, Captain Joe targets migrating Tarpon along the beach in crystal-clear water, creating an unforgettable sight-fishing opportunity. You'll often be able to see these massive fish cruising the shoreline before presenting a bait and watching the action unfold right in front of you. There are few moments in fishing as exciting as seeing a giant Tarpon roll on a bait and launch skyward moments after the hookset.

Depending on conditions and what the fish are responding to, Captain Joe may use either live bait or dead bait to entice bites. Both approaches can be highly effective during the migration, and Captain Joe will adjust tactics throughout the trip to give you the best opportunity for success.

Tarpon are among the strongest fish that swim in coastal waters. Once hooked, they are known for making multiple aerial jumps, long drag-screaming runs, and powerful surges that test both angler and equipment. I’m captain Joe and I’m born and raised right here and I operate out of bay pines marina Florida. I run a 25 foot center console that is built for fishing and a good ride plenty of room for fish in the box, cold drinks, and all the live bait we will need. I am out 200 plus days out the year running all different trips from small snappers to big groupers tarpon and permit or we can go inside inshore a fish for pompano snook and redfish. Everyday is a great day on the water with me I am here to teach and ensure you enjoy your day fishing!

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

The deposit for this trip is non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
