About Your Trip

For the ultimate offshore adventure, the 10-hour Run 'n Gun trip is the longest and most action-packed experience Captain Colton and Captain Hector offer. This trip is designed for anglers who are ready to go all-in, with no limits on where you can fish or what you can target. Whether the bite is just a few miles from shore or 30 miles offshore in deeper waters, your captains will take you wherever the fish are hottest.

With this much time on the water, you’ll have the chance to target trophy pelagics like Sailfish, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and Kingfish, as well as bottom-dwelling bruisers like Black, Gag, and Red Grouper, Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, and Vermilion Snapper. The Run 'n Gun trip lets you cover more ground and try a variety of techniques, including kite fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, spinning, and drift fishing, ensuring that you're always in the best position to land a big one.

Your ride for the day is a 28' Whitewater center console, a serious fishing machine built for speed, comfort, and range. Outfitted with outriggers, a live bait well, GPS, and fishfinder, this boat is fully rigged for an intense day of chasing down the bite.

All rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided, along with your fishing license for the day. The crew will also clean and fillet your catch at no extra charge—just be sure to tip your captain for his hard work.

Water is provided, but be sure to pack your own snacks and drinks to keep fueled throughout the day. This trip is perfect for experienced anglers looking for a serious offshore challenge, but anyone with the drive to fish hard is welcome aboard.

If you're looking for a high-energy, non-stop fishing experience where anything can happen, the 10-hour Run 'n Gun trip is for you. Book now and get ready to chase down some of the biggest fish Fort Lauderdale has to offer!

Independent Guide
We are a deep sea fishing charter based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL. If you're looking for your trophy catch or some dinner for the table, we are your guys. Captain Hector and I (Captain Colton) have been fishing these waters for many years now with tons of experience on the water from Pompano all the way down to the Keys. Basically the whole southeast coast. Our fishing machine for your fishing adventure is a 28 foot Whitewater, powered by a Cummins 6BTA 330 HP diesel engine. We really enjoy and look forward to putting a smile on our clients face when they get to catch a fish on one of our trips. Whether you're an experienced angler or you've never held a fishing rod before we can coach you through the correct techniques to land that trophy fish you've been waiting to catch. If a great time on the water is the experience you're looking for then look no further.

Rapid Fire Guide Q & A

What’s the biggest fish you’ve caught?
I get this question a lot on charters and it's not a fish I caught but it's a fish I put a good client on. It was a 100lb Amberjack that we caught on a light jigging rod and we fought it for 30 min. Definitely an unforgettable experience.
If you were cooking for all your friends what would you cook?
A go to for me is a classic steak and some potatoes. You can never go wrong with a good ole juicy steak.

What’s your favorite band?
I don't personally have a favorite band but my favorite genre is Country music, though I love all kinds of music.
How did you get started guiding?
I had always loved to fish with my grandfather growing up in bass tournament together. Which led to him introducing me to pier fishing; where I would target nearshore species such as snook, tarpon, mackerel, mangrove snapper and a variety of other species. From there on my fishing addiction grew more and more. I started out my fishing career on a party boat in Miami, FL. I started as a mate, learning the ropes which led to me pursuing my captains license. I ran that same party boat for about 2 years which taught me a lot about fishing and how to be a captain. Fast forward to present day and now Captain Hector and I are proud owners of Get Reel Sportfishing where we get to share our some love for fishing with you!
