About Your Trip

If you're looking for a world-class Steelhead fishing adventure, you're in the right place! From October 1 to April 1, Mathew will guide you through some of the best fishing waters in the Rogue Valley, using a mix of fly fishing, side drifting, bobber fishing, and plug fishing techniques. Whether you're a seasoned angler or a first-timer, these methods are easy to learn and a blast to use.

Steelhead are the main target, with their
acrobatic jumps and hard-hitting fights making them a true angler’s challenge. Depending on the time of year, you might also hook into Coho Salmon, adding to the excitement. Best of all, Mathew knows local honey holes that only an experienced guide can show you—so you’re in for a treat.

You'll be fishing from Mathew’s 17’ Drift boat, a vessel perfectly suited for navigating these waters. With only two passengers max, you’ll get plenty of one-on-one guidance and space to cast. All rods, reels, and tackle are provided, so just show up ready for a great day on the river. Mathew also offers catch cleaning and filleting, so you can take home a fresh, ready-to-cook catch.

Things to Bring:

✔ A valid fishing license (check local regulations for details)
✔ Layered clothing & proper footwear (weather can change fast!)
✔ Sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock—always a good idea!

Mathew grew up right on the banks of the Rogue River and has been fishing these waters his whole life. He’s friendly, knowledgeable, and committed to making your trip unforgettable. Whether it’s about landing a trophy Steelhead or just soaking in the stunning scenery, Mathew ensures every trip is an adventure.
