About Your Trip

Get ready to explore some of Florida’s most scenic and productive inshore waters with Captain Tanner at the helm! Based out of beautiful Panacea, FL, these trips take you through a network of rich coastal fisheries—from the grass flats of Apalachee Bay to the winding channels of the Ochlockonee River system—all while chasing some of the Gulf’s most exciting inshore gamefish.

With Captain Tanner, you’ll be fishing everything from the calm waters of Saint George
Sound and Shell Island to the hidden gems like East Bay and Little Tucker Lake. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or brand new to the sport, this trip offers a family-friendly adventure packed with opportunities to hook into a variety of prized species.

Depending on the season, you’ll target Redfish tailing on the flats, Flounder ambushing bait near structure, and Trout cruising the grass beds. When conditions are right, you might even spot cruising Cobia or hook into a powerful Tarpon in the summer months. In the cooler seasons, the action doesn’t stop—Sheepshead, Black Drum, and Redfish are all on the menu, with live shrimp being the bait of choice. Warmer days bring out the topwater action, trolling opportunities, and spinning setups that make this fishery so versatile.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 25’ Sabercat that’s designed for comfort, speed, and shallow water access—perfect for navigating the winding inshore waters of the Big Bend region. With room for up to four guests, this boat is great for families, small groups, or anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing yet action-packed day on the water.

Captain Tanner provides everything you need: rods, reels, tackle, bait, and fishing licenses are all included. He’ll even handle the cleaning and filleting of your catch, so all you need to do is bring your favorite snacks, drinks, sun protection, and dress for the weather.

Whether you're after a cooler full of fresh fillets or just out to soak in the natural beauty of Florida’s Forgotten Coast, Captain Tanner’s trips offer the perfect blend of laid-back fun and serious fishing. Come cast a line and create memories that’ll last long after the last fish is reeled in!
