About Your Trip

Come fly fish for redfish in the legendary waters of the Laguna Madre, from South Padre Island north to Port Mansfield and the Land Cut! Captain Andrew specializes in providing custom fly-fishing experiences tailored specifically for targeting redfish in these pristine, shallow waters.

With years of experience and an intimate knowledge of the local fishery, Captain Andrew welcomes both seasoned anglers and beginners alike. Whether you're an expert with a fly rod or prefer spinning
gear, he’s here to guide you to success—and if you’re looking for coaching, he’s happy to offer tips along the way.

Fishing in the Laguna Madre and Arroyo City isn’t just about the catch—it’s about the experience. Expect breathtaking sunrises, stunning wildlife encounters, and, of course, plenty of redfish.

Captain Andrew provides all the necessary gear for a successful day on the water, including high-quality fly-fishing equipment and custom-tied flies. You'll be fishing from a Hell’s Bay Guide Skiff, the ideal platform for stalking redfish in shallow flats. Tips on casting and spotting redfish will come naturally throughout the trip, ensuring you leave a better angler than when you arrived.

Every angler has their own preferences, and Captain Andrew customizes each trip to match your goals. Whether you want to wade the skinny waters or pole through the flats, the focus is always on sight-casting to redfish.

As a strong advocate for the health of the fishery, Captain Andrew promotes catch-and-release practices to help sustain South Texas' incredible redfish population. Recent freezes and environmental changes have reminded us how precious these fisheries are, and every released redfish helps ensure future generations can enjoy them.

So, what are you waiting for? Let’s go fishing!
